The Public Utilities Board invites applications from potential candidates for a vacancy now existing within the Public Utilities Board.
Position: Financial Controller
Qualification and Experience: The person requirements:
- Possess at least a relevant Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, economics or a related field from an accredited University or equivalent. (CA/CPA qualifications is an advantage)
- Have completed or partially completed CA/CPA is an advantage.
- Have three years and over of previous relevant successful work experience in a financial role, as a Senior Accountant or Accountant, or relevant analyst role.
The Role
The Financial Controller manages daily financial operations and ensures the effective, efficient and economical use of the PUB’s fund in the fulfilment of its corporate objectives and in the pursuit of the implementation and supervision of the new financial information system, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Financial Controller monitors and reports financial trends and issues and collaborate with the Finance General Manager in ensuring professional reporting.

- Demonstrated the ability to use technologies and analyse data and information effectively particularly any financial information management system.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary accounting standards and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties in Financial Accounting and Reporting

- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Capacity to adopt appropriate management style and to lead staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description:

Salary: Grade 3.1 in the PUB pay scale.
