How to Connect to PUB Services

The prime function of PUB is to carry out the general business of

Electricity

Supplying and distributing electricity to customers from Betio to Nabeina. A New Customer is anyone applying for the supply of electricity for the first time. If you are a New Customer, the information provided here will assist you when you visit our Customer Service Centers for a new connection. Please read carefully as this will help to speed up the process to get power to your home.

Please ensure that you only use a PUB Electrical Contractor

A Completion Notice

(Application to PUB commencement of wiring works Form). This is a permit issued by PUB to your nominated licensed contractor. The licensed contractor signs off on this completion notice once he inspects your premises and is satisfied that the wiring and installations has been done to the required safety standards.

Land Ownership

The land ownership can be signed and endorsed by the Department of Lands. This is to prove that the Land is rightfully you.

Map

The map is needed as it will show where the premises is located. And this can also be collected at the Department of Lands.

Proof of Identity by providing any one of the following photo IDs

a. Driver’s License
b. Passport
c. Birth certificate with passport size photo if you have no form of photo identification

Water Supply

Supplying and distributing water to its customers at Betio to Buota through the water distribution system and the delivery by hired water tanker trucks.

Two types of water supply

1. Metered
2. Unmetered

How to apply

To apply for water supply you have to complete the application form and sign the form in the presence of the Customer Service Rep that you will be served by.

Sewerage Disposal

Operating and maintaining the sewerage system existing at the major villages Betio, Bairiki and Bikenibeu only. The rest of customers having Septic tanks are serviced by a Vacuum Truck.

How to apply

To apply for sewerage disposal you have to complete the application form and sign the form in the presence of the Customer Service Rep that you will be served by.
