The Public Utilities Board invites applications from potential candidates for the vacant post of Facility Maintenance Officer now existing within the Corporate Service Department of the Public Utilities Board.
Position: Facility Maintenance Officer
Qualification and Experience: The person required should have:
- Certificate II or Certificate III in Carpentry with 1 year of relevant role experience
- Good understanding of building design would be desirable
- A knowledge in all three trades and ability to drive with a valid driving license (A and B) would be an advantage.
Skills and Attributes
- Teamwork – ability to work with a team of O&M professionals to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to read, understand carpentry, civil, and structural plans.
- Problem solving and implementing site-specific procedures to increase plant uptime.
- Analytical – Must be able to analyse problem scenarios and make quick intelligent decisions.
- Experience managing schedules to ensure maintenance is done on time and on budget.
- Proficiency on a PC computer with basic hardware, software, and networking abilities.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, the internet and other relevant PUB Corporate and Data programs.
- Demonstrated good communication skills, including the ability to liaise, and negotiate when required.
- Understanding of logistics and operations in a service environment.

Salary: Pay Grade 6.1 in the PUB Pay scale
