We’re Here to Help
Ways to Reduce Your Bills
- Switch to prepaid meters and monitor your usage by daily checking of the CIU.
- Remember to switch off appliances once you have finished and to turn off power points when not in use
- If you are concerned that the CIU is moving quickly indicating high electricity consumption and you cannot identify what it is, gradually turn off appliances, lights and power points one at a time. Air-conditioners are high electricity users, as are kettles and some electric cooking appliances.
Remember, the new meters are very accurate and recently calibrated, whereas many old meters have not been recalibrated in years thus giving unusually low and false readings. It is important that customers monitor electricity consumption and manage that consumption.
All outstanding bills need to be paid and PUB is more aggressively seeking to collect outstanding amounts. If you are having difficulty to pay your bills, please contact Customer Service today, on 444, and make a payment plan.
